All international undergraduate and graduate students at SHSU are eligible to work on campus during the academic year.

There is another website, aramark.com, which also offers on-campus jobs. The site opens later, so you can type Sam Houston in the search tab to find and apply for available positions.
- You can log in using your LinkedIn account.
- First, go to your profile and upload any supporting documents (e.g., resume, transcripts, recommendation letters).
- Then navigate to the "Search Jobs" section and find positions that you qualify for.
- Submit your application for a job that matches your background and interests.
๐ Work Hour Limits for International Students
- During Fall/Spring semesters: Up to 20 hours per week.
- During Summer break: Up to 28 hours per week if enrolled in at least 3 credit hours or had 6 credit hours in Spring.
๐ Required Letters After Being Hired
- Request a letter from your employing department โ must include:
- Job title
- Start date
- Supervisor's name
- Request a letter from the Global Engagement Center โ includes:
- Confirmation of F1 status
- Start date
- SAM ID and SEVIS number
๐งพ After Hiring
- Apply for your Social Security Number (SSN) as required for employment.
- Submit a copy of your SSN to SHSU Human Resources.
- Once your job application is complete, you may proceed with your course registration.
